When you pull up to the Foster Communications Colliseum, you definitely notice the carnival rides and the cowboys warming up their horses, but in a smaller building next to the Wells Fargo Pavilion,  is an attraction that's sure to get your creativity flowing.

The creative arts competition began over 50 years ago and was originally called the women's division and only featured itmes that were sewn. Now, the contest has several different categories and  a wide variety of people who enter their best work.

We have adults, we have children, we have men, a lot at the state school come and enter. We encompass a lot of different people, a lot of different aspects of people, we come from all over, we have entries from Iowa, New Mexico, New York, just all over the state especially, all the kids that come and show their animals, also like to enter the arts and crafts.

While some might only think about  animals when it comes to stock shows and rodeos, the creative arts building is the place where diversity and imagination collide, bringing out the artistic side of anyone who walks through the doors.

A few doors down is another attraction that's sure to please any animal lover. The noah's way exotic petting zoo features over a dozen animals including a camel, zebra, and even a maroset monkey.

So whether it's got four legs or fits in a frame, there's something for everyone at the stock show and rodeo.
