The staff for the cinch clothing catalog photo shoot had plenty of models to choose from this morning as slack continued at the first community credit union spur arena.

Traveling all the way from their Denver, Colorado office, the staff was looking for the perfect back drop for the next cinch catalog....and they chose right here in San Angelo.

" We chose San Angelo , number one, we love the hospitality, number two they're all here for slack...So in other words we can work with our calf ropers, we can work with our bulldoggers and we can work with our team ropers."

Brenda Van Newkirk is one of the founders of the cinch brand and she says that not only are the models available at this location but San Angelo itself plays an important role when it comes to advertising.

"Everything about San Angelo is really who our customer is...It's the lifestyle guy, whether he's out on the ranch or whether he's in the city, we love the camaraderie of the people, we love the spirit of the people, and they bring in the best cowboys here...The best.

So how do you create the best shirts for these great cowboys? Cassie clutter, a designer for cinch says it's about a 15 month process from when a design is dreamed up to when it hits the shelves...And that by coming to events like this, she can find out what the customer wants to see.

"I like to talk to our endorsees a lot about what they like and what they enjoy wearing, it's just a really great resource for me to pick their brains and see what's going on at  events like this and in their daily lives."

The San Angelo stock show and rodeo is about more than just horses and steers, for the cinch clothing company it serves as inspiration for future trends because...These are their customers.

I'm Senora Scott with your KSAN stock show and rodeo update.
