The time is drawing nearer for the Central swim team to showcase their stuff in the big district meet on Saturday afternoon, and Coach Hague believes they're ready for this next step.

David Hague-"We've had a good season so far but it all culminates at this meet to get us on to the regional area."

Marshall Yale 500 freestyle-"We had really good Christmas workouts which is where we have to swim hard and everyone stepped it up and swam hard."

Thomas-"Central will have 27 participating in the big meet and the Cats hope to completely flood the pool at regionals."

David Hague-"Our goal is to try to get all 27 qualified for regionals in one event or another."
Thomas-"This team is young but the underclassmen are adjusting nicely as the season progresses."

Megan Mclaughin 100 freestyle-"There's a lot of hard work that you have to put into it and they've worked really hard and I think everybody is going to do really well."

Thomas-"A district title would be especially rewarding for the seniors, as one more title would confirm their domination of the district."

Megan Mclaughlin-"It'd be really cool because it would be three years in a row my Senior year, it'd be nice to go out on top."

Marshall Yale-"I think it would be great to win district again and especially  making it to regionals, and if we could send a relay or an individual to state I think that would just be great."

Thomas-"Jonathan Thomas, KSAN San Angelo's sports channel."
