Updated: February 22, 2010
Pat Attebery came to work for KLST (at the time it was known as KCTV) in 1970 after having been a semi-permanent guest for several months on a show called “90 Minutes”. When the host of the local segment of “90 Minutes” moved away, Pat was asked to host the show along with her duties as co-host of a noon news program called “High Noon”. Pat worked with several co-hosts, including long-time KLST regular, Lou Kordek.

In the mid-70’s the afternoon schedule was changed and the “Pat Attebery Show” was launched at 5:00 Monday through Friday. There were four guest segments in which subjects as varied as the arts and raising earthworms were discussed. Also during this time period, Pat was the Promotions Director for KCTV (now KLST). Pat continued her show as she worked for Central National Bank (now Wells Fargo) as Women’s Services Director and as the first Director of the RSVP program of the Concho Valley.

Pat has served on the Board of Directors of most of the organizations in San Angelo including Campaign Chairman and Chairman of the Board for the United Way of the Concho Valley and continues to serve as a Board Member of the West Texas Rehabilitation Center. As Community Affairs Anchor, Pat interviews guests on KLST Midday Monday through Friday. Pat also handles all the scheduling for KLST Midday and KLST Live at Five. When Pat started her career with KLST, she was the first female with a regular position on-air in San Angelo. If you watch television regularly, you are well aware of how times have changed in the 40 years since Pat became a member of the staff of KLST.
