The 1st Community Credit Union Spur Arena looked like a construction zone Wednesday evening. All the work was part of the final preparations for Grand Slamfest 2007. The event has been going on all month, but it will culminated this Friday and Saturday. The work at the Spur Arena is preparation for installing a temporary tennis court. Some of the world's top tennis pro's will be playing exhibition matches for charity this weekend. Grand Slamfest co-director Kevin Collins said, "This charity event is for the J.P.W. Learning Center. The J.P.W. Learning Center is a organization that teaches teachers how to work with kids with learning disabilities. It's a fantastic organization." The tennis exhibitions are taking place at the Spur Arena this Friday at 7:30 PM, Saturday at 1:00 PM and at 6:00 P.M. For more information on tickets and times, log onto grandslamfest.Org
