Two men have been arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

25 year old Johnny Jimenez and 19 year old Jose Jimenez are each being held on $50,000 bond. They were both taken into custody by the Tom Green Country Sheriff's Office. They are accused of being involved in a stabbing that took place this past Saturday following the Miles Cotton Fest.  According to officials, one of the people involved in the altercation suffered a stab wound to the chest. Officials say one of the suspects even fired a gun during the fight.

Some of the witnesses attempted to take the stabbing victim to a nearby hospital. But only made it as far as the intersection of US Highway 67 and Farm Road 1692 before their vehicle developed mechanical problems. The victim was eventually treated at Shannon Medical Center.
