Fort Concho Speaker Series

The history of the Cold War, that's what was served up for lunch Wednesday at Fort Concho.
Area residents gathered at the Fort's Commissary for the latest installment of the Fort Concho Speakers Series. Retired Chief Petty Officer Robert Broene, the featured speaker, offered insight into the U.S. submarines that were used during the Cold War.
The next Speaker Series will be held September 19th, focusing on Paint Rock pictographs. Bill Yates will be the guest speaker. Admission for these events is free and guests have the option of bringing their own lunch, or ordering one in advance. Each installment is held in the Commissary from noon until 1 o'clock.
