Detectives with the Tom Green county sheriffs department say the victim of Saturdays stabbing was trying to stop a fight. Theyve identified two suspects.
19-year-old Jose Jiminez and 25-year-old Johnny Jiminez reportedly left the scene after a fight at a private party.
Sheriffs department detective Ron Sanders says a group of people were at a private home in Eastern Tom Green county on Klattenhoff road for a party after the Miles cotton festival.
"During the celebration, a physical altercation occurred between two subjects.
And that led to production of a knife, which in turn led to one person being stabbed. Also during the physical altercation, another suspect retrieved a firearm, discharged it in the air, and kind of brandished it at some of the witnesses there."
The stabbing victim is identified as Manuel Torres of San Angelo.
Hes in a hospital Monday night in stable condition tonight.
