The crowds were close to non-existent Friday at the Tom Green County Commissioners Court.
Only three people from the community showed up for a public hearing concerning the 2007 Fiscal Year proposed tax rate, County Judge Mike Brown says he was not surprised by the low turn out because county rate increases are usually the lowest and most frugal. The proposed rate is 53.46 cents, an increase of 1.18 cents from the current rate.
