Hot rods to classic cars packed the Jim Bass Ford ar lot for a devoted car show. Show contestants spend thousands of dollars a year enhancing their rides. The Devoted One's Car Club hosted the second annual cr show at Jim Bass Ford Cars and Trucks, Saturday afternoon. More than 40 cars were parked with hoods up and blinding rims...to see who has the best ride in town. We're going to be judging the cars on the hotrods, the setups, lowriders, classics, motorcycles, euro, everything man...pretting much. We're judging on the paint, on the wheels, on the motor, that's everything. Says show promoter, Jimmy Gomez.
Winners from the car show drove away with tropies and cash prizes ranging from 350-to-400 dollars . Organizers say remaining profits go towards helping out the community.
Most of the money, we're not profiting nothing. The money goes back to the Salvation Army. Says Gomez.
At the end of the day car enthusiasts can spend thousands of dollars making improvments to their car.
Just for a simple car, you can spend upto 8-to-10 thousand, upto 20 thousand dollars. It just depends on how you want your ride to look. There's a lot of time an effort. Says Gomez.
Show promoters hope to have more than 100 cars next year. JJKLST NEWS.
