The streets of San Angelo are cleaner this weekend thanks to hundreds of volunteers. The United Way of the Concho Valley kicked-off their annual campaign with day of sharing Saturday. Volunteers split up into groups across town to paint over graffiti, complete landscaping projects and to assist senior citizens with home modification projects. The theme was sharing the magic.
We have so many people who go through these allies and look at what we have done, what we dont want them to do see is the tremendous, horrible, nasty words on the walls so today is our day to re-beautify what we have already done at one point. Says Brenda Gunther, chairman.
The United Way of the Concho Valley works year round to raise funds to help support more than 10 other non-profit agencies in the Concho Valley.
