Workers all across San Angelo will be making history tonight as they clock-out before going home for the evening. This is the last time those earning minimum wage will be paid the traditional five - dollars and 15 cents an hour. It took an act of congress, but for the first time in nearly a decade minimum wage is going up. While this increase is historic, authorities at Workforce Solutions of the Concho Valley said this is only the beginning of some big changes.Pat Ray said, "Tomorrow it will go up to $5.85 and then a year from now to $6.55 exactly from the date tomorrow. Then the third increase will be to $7.25 which is a two year period of time which is the cap on the increase."
