water2007-07-22-1185131129.jpgThe lake and park police department along with a diving team found the body of a man that was first reported missing Saturday evening around 9am Sunday.

First responders were called out to the scene around 5:40pm Saturday. Officials with the Lake and Park Police Department  said they were called to the cage area in between the area where Lake Nasworthy and Twin Buttes connect. Reports were that the man was checking a trot line in a motor-less aluminum boat when the boat overturned. The man was not wearing a life preserver.

Chris Chappa, with the Lake and Park Police Department, said, "So if you're going boating, no matter how good of a swimmer you are, you need to wear a life jacket, we have yet to recover someone who had one on. They work."

The name of the man has not been released. We'll bring you that information when it becomes available.
