The countdown is on for the beginning of the fall semester at Angelo State University. The school is expecting more than 1,300 new incoming freshmen. Hundreds of these "soon to be" students are getting a jump-start on next semester. Angelo State University is holding "prepare to sour at ASU," the schools orientation for incoming freshmen and their parents. Interim Dean of Student Services Nolen Mears said, "This weekend we have about 275 students here and probably three or four hundred parents with them ... We have some information for the parents about the different kind of services we have here on campus, programs for students about how to survive academically, how to get involved in activities on campus."
Angelo State has one more freshmen orientation planned for the weekend of July 27th and 28th. All ASU's students can check out the school's web site for more information about the upcoming fall semester: www.angelo.edu
