The Silver Spur Ball is a casual western dance catered by Outback Steakhouse. The event is BYOB with silent auction and quilt raffle.
Holly McClanahan says "this event is the seventeenth annual and has raised over $300,000 for the Rehab Center to date. This is great for what started as a group of friends that just wanted to do something for the Rehab Center, loved to dance, and decided this is what they would do."
One hundred percent of the proceeds go to patient care. Over 125 donated items are up for bid. The silent auction ends 10 p.m. Friday.
Holly says " We pack all the items up and take them out to the KC hall and resume bidding there Friday night at 7 p.m.
Items include a Fender guitar donated by Tarpley Music and golf packages at several different courses. Several gift certificates are up for bid along with electronics.
Holly says " Our largest item is this BBQ supper for 36. It includes meal, desert, and tea. The boys ranch cooking team is doing it and is valued at $900. It will be very good!"
Also available is limited edition artwork, dresses, tools and other hardware, and jewelry for the ladies.
Holly says " A six hundred dollar necklace. A diamond horseshoe necklace from Legend Jeweler. It is a third carat of diamonds and is wonderful item. You can buy your tickets here at the Rehab Center or at the door for $30 per couple."
