bible2007-07-15-1184553577.jpgDozens of children from around the Concho Valley came out for vacation bible school Sunday. Southland Baptist Church and Primera Iglesia Bautista sponsored game day for kids. The event included free food, kids jousting, and a bounce about, along with other games. Sponsors say events like this keeps children learning during the summer months. The importance of an event like this is to reach out into the community, give children something to do in the summer time, and really bring different cultures together so that we can have the children exposed to all the different activities that the church, says Norma Lee the Children's director. Both churches hold the bible school every July.
