"The only good clown is a dead clown....."
Actor David Keith is in town for the day -- shooting a scene with the clown hunters.
"Clown Hunt" is about a fictional clown hunting season -- where the clown hunters don't always win -- written and directed by Snyder native -- Barry Tubb.
"I just replaced deer season with clown season. It's kind of making fun of us -- I grew up hunting with my dad -- in hunting camps -- and making fun of all the things that go on".
As the landowner -- Keith stops by to check on the clown hunters leasing his property for the season.
The character was originally written for an older guy with red -flushed cheeks and a cigar -- I told Barry we might need to tweek it a little bit -- hopefully I'm not playing mid-60's characters yet."
Keith plays only one character -- but others -- like professionally trained clown -- Patrick Kelly -- play several in this small budget film.
" I'm playing a lot of characters - Albino Willie, the Hobo clown -- I'm doing a lot of physical comedy, which I love.
Actor Brendan Wayne -- grandson of John Wayne -- is in several movies this summer -- including "Clown Hunt".
"I could be holding a cable to a camera -- getting someone a drink of water because he's hot. We enjoy each other -- this is our communal area -- and that's the way I perceive the art -- working off each other.
