monk2007-06-25-1182744666.jpgThe Carmelite Monks at the Mount Carmel Hermitage welcomed a brother into their community Sunday. For six years Brother Martin Mary of the Blessed Sacrament says he always felt that the Mount Carmel Hermitage was home. Ever since I first came here it was in my heart. I explored all other paths, but I just couldn't get out of my heat. Said Brother Martin Mary. At a Liturgical celebration Brother Martin Mary took the next step into living the Monastic life. We profes, poverty, chasity and obedience, in a public ceremony in church. And that's the uh, and that's kind of the main part of the mass of the solemn profession is. And I do that in the presence of the superior in this case our superior comes from Rome. So we kneel on our hands and knees and read the profession and we write it out...until death..Brother Martin Mary Says. Brother Martin also says he now has gained a large family right here in the Concho Valley. First I think we are blessed to be here by our community. Because people here are very generous and people here are very wise. They're familiar with our lifestyle. And we are not strangers to them. So we feel very at home here. Brother Martin Mary will reside with five other Monks at Mount Carmel Hermitage. JJKLST NEWS.
