Both San Angelo Police and fire officials are investigating what is now being ruled an arson. The target of the attack was a San Angelo Police patrol car that was parked in the 2400 block of Stanton Street. San Angelo Fire Marshal Don Vardeman says the arson investigation is still in its preliminary stages. So far, officials have established two points of origin for the fire, the front and the rear of the car. Vardeman says the vehicle is a total loss. If anyone has any information about the fire, they are being asked to contact the fire marshal's office at 657-4358.
