dad2007-06-17-1182138942.jpgWhile many dads were out celebrating Father's day...some children were separated from their dads. Here's a story of two San Angelo brothers whose father is away fighting in Iraq this holiday. Sfc Mathew Hines is currently in Iraq as an army analyst instructor..but that didn't stop his two sons here in San Angelo from celebrating Father's day. Jacob Hines/Father in Iraq: We can make decorations, paper, glue, and crayons. Sfc Hines was deployed to Iraq in April, leaving his wife of 7 years, and two boys. His oldest son Michael says dad is always involved whether is he is at home or away on a trip. Michael Furman/ Father in Iraq: He always ask me how school is..and we play video games together. While dad is away, mom says the house continues to operate like normal. Sandra Furman/Husband in Iraq: It's hard, well I'm a drill Sgt., but we have to keep our routines up like he'll be home next week. It keeps them from being distracted. Although SPC Hines is overseas he was able to speak to both Michael and Jacob on the phone. Michael Furman/ Father in Iraq: I miss him, but time is going by real fast. Both say they can't wait until dad returns home. Jacob: Hi daddy.
