Some teenagers are making a difference in San Angelo this week.
Five teenagers from the San Angelo Catholic Diocese began work on this home in the 2-thousand block of Guadeloupe on Monday for the 'Make a Difference' summer program. They say the home's back and front yard was covered in brush and trees. The group cleared the land, added handicapped accommodations and repaired minor siding to the house.
One volunteer, John Carrillo says the program is about building a community.
John Carrillo/ Make A Difference: Well we worked hard in a community, and that's what it's about. Make a Difference makes a community in a small environment.
The homeowner says she has lived in the home for more than 40 years and says she appreciates the hard work the group has finished.
