If you over sleep or you're late for an event on Monday,  you can blame the man responsible for daylight savings time and his love for bugs.

"The guy who proposed it, George Hudson, he was an entomologist by hobby and he actually propsed it just so he could have more daylight hours to go out in the evening after work and do his hobby. "

While some dread loosing one precious hour of sleep many, like Hudson will value the extra sunlight.

"The sun is rising sooner, about 15 minutes sooner, and I like to look at the sun come up anyway."

Even the economy will benefit from the one hour 'March forward' in time.

"All of us work right? So, ya know when we get off is the best time for us to go do retails and so when we have more light we are more apt to go outside and do things. That's why a lot of the retail is how it is because it still provides daylight hours in the evening times when people are not working during the summer."

But there is no set rule when it comes to daylight saving time. In fact,  a majority of the world, including Arizona and Hawaii, choses not to participate in the extra hour of sleep every spring.

"I mean, it has nothing to do with the science or orbit of the Earth around the sun or anything. It's arbitratry anyway."

Preferance or not,  everyone in Texas will have to Spring Ahead come Sunday morning at 2AM. So be prepared to adjust you internal clock after adjusting you physical clock.
