More signs of the oil production boom in the Concho Valley.
Marcus officer has the story on how oil service companies are quickly buying and leasing land to use as a base of operation.

Oil Land Clearing - Marcus Officer

Much of the open pasture land on both sides of Old Christoval Road, on the southeast side of the city, is experencing a facelift.

For the last several decades, this area of San Angelo was once covered with trees and brush but over the last several months it is rapidly being developed for oil related businesses.

As oil production and service companies move into the area -- they're quckly leasing and buying property to store equipment.

Dozens of workers on tractors and bulldozers have been clearing the open pasture land and putting down caliche -- clearing the way for industrial parks over the several weeks.

As workers work around the clock clearing the way for new businesses coming into town, in the near future, San Angelo as we know it could have a new face.
