The Lone Star Conference Basketball Championship is later this week in Allen, and of all the qtr-final match-ups, men's or women's, possibly the most intriguing is the one with Angelo State. The 'Belles have won six in a row, but so has their opposition, West Texas A&M. The Lady Buffs have made their late season push with play of post Devin Griffin. Griffin has won the offensive player of the week award each of the past two weeks. She's averaged over twenty five points a game in that span. It's helped that Chontiquah White, another low post player, is also a dominant force in the LSC. ASU knows that slowing down the Lady Buffs will be tied to slowing down Devin Griffin.

Lauren Holt: "She's a great player, she's a really good passer and she can pretty much do anything and play anywhere on the court. We just have to watch film, prepare, and play the play best defense that we can play."

Sally Brooks:  "That's our strength is defending the low post and that's what their strength is, obviously their two best players are really good post players."

ASU and WT will play at Noon on Thursday in the Allen Events Center.
