The Belles Basketball team is head to Dallas, or more specifically, Allen, the home of the Lone Star Conference Basketball Championships. ASU earned the sixth seed and will face third seeded West Texas A&M on Thursday in the qtr-finals. While WT has had the 'Belles number in recent years, ASU did earn an exciting double overtime win in the series in December.

That thrilling win in December is proof that the 'Belles can not only play with the higher seeded Lady Buffs, but that they can beat them.

Leah LeMaire - "When we accomplished that we just knew we could do pretty much anything in this conference, no one can stop us. We are the team that can potentially win."

The other truth is that the Belles had their struggles this season. Those struggles put the team in a bad spot, however, the way they responded has been promising.

Sally Brooks - "We've kind of played with our back against the wall for the last month, so I hope that has prepared us."

Lauren - "To me the last six games have been high pressure games. We've done a good job of performing under pressure and coming out with some good wins."

A year ago ASU lost in the semifinals after a disappointing defensive showing.

Lauren Holt - "This game you know we learned how important defense is because we didn't really perform well in the first half on defense."

Lauren Holt says the team knows the lessons learned and they can't have a let down again this year.

Lauren Holt - "Continuing to play good defense like we have been the past couple games and bring that to the tournament and not let the fact that we're at the tournament rattle us. Just play the defense we know how to play."

Leah LeMaire - "We're ready and we're going to come back with a trophy."
