The Symphony Orchesta performed for Concho Valley students in a program called "Dancing With the Symphony." Incorporating classical music and dancing.
'Youth concerts are the lifeblood of the symphony because they educate the children."
Guzman says children recieve more than just knowledge of classical music at symphony events.
"The basic things like pitch, rythym, harmony, history because they learn about composers, so it's an all encompassing educational process."
The orchestra put on the show to connect with the kids on a level they can enjoy and understand.
"When we combine classical music with popular music, with jazz, it just makes us come together. "
65 members of the 60-year-old orchestra hopes that their shows are just the beginning of music education for children.
"I hope that the process does not stop here. That when we educate these kids, the the parents will continue encouraging them to just enjoy good music."
