vol2007-06-13-1181775670.jpgReporter-- Mildred and Noel Wilson have been married for a long time, and their volunteer commitment to Community Hospital has lasted for more than eight years.

Mildred Wilson-- "I wait on costumers, work the cash register and help people find what they are looking for if I can."

Noel-- "I work in what they call south information.  That is back in the back.  We registered people run errands for the people and OB and other places you know.  We pick up charts and just do stuff that no one else wants to do I guess."

Reporter-- The couple does anything that is needed of them and they have a great time doing so.

Mildred-- "Well I enjoy doing this.  It gives me a chance to get out and meet with people and be around people."

Noel-- "We enjoy doing things together and we come here together and you know we give back a little bit of time that is to somebody else.  We are not doing something because we have to, like when we work, we had to work no matter if you wanted to or not.  We are doing something now because we want to."

Reporter-- Now that they don’t have to work they enjoy volunteering and it is their way of giving back to a community that has given so much.

Mildred-- "It is a way of giving back to the community and maybe being a help to someone else."

Noel-- "It is real rewarding.  It is more rewarding to us probably then it is to them.  It makes us feel good."
