"They know what the situation is, if we win two we've got a chance to get in," Central Head Coach Jaime Boswell said. "Tascosa has two tough games everyone has tough games left."
"This game is probably the most important of the year at this point," Senior Jake Green declared. "Because without this game we might not get in the playoffs, we need this game to give us a playoff berth."
After a blowout loss last Tuesday to Permian, the Cats put up a fantastic fight against Coronado and even though they lost, their spirited play is a good sign.
"We honestly thought we should've won the game but it didn't happen but our kids played hard and they fought the entire game which was great to see," Boswell said.
"We started off pretty well, we worked together fluently, we've just got to learn how to finish them," Jake Green said.
That's a lesson they'll apply to their game against Midland Lee tommorrow night.
"You're going to face adversity, what do you do to overcome that adversity? That's what we're teaching to them right now and hopefully they'll respond because they're going to have to face adversity in life, so you might as well get used to it now and see what we can do," Boswell explained.
"We've got to start out like we did Friday and we've just got to keep our nerves aside and just play like we do, play like Central does," Green said.
"We can't slow down we can't let them rest we have to just play through everything we have to run, run, run," Senior Jesus Medrano said with a laugh. "I think we have the heart and we have the will to compete with the top teams in Texas."
The Bobcats play Midland Lee in Midland tomorrow night at 7:30.
