Today, the fifteenth of January, would have been Martin Luther King Junior's 83rd birthday. With a little under a week until the holiday named after king a local association has planned several celebrations.

Through that weekend the association will host a number of ceremonies, including a youth program, gospel fest and Sunday service.
President of the MLK Junior celebration committee, Franklin Devore, says they are excited about the upcoming events and want to invite everyone to join them.
"Come out and celebrate with us the martin Luther king junior holiday. The 18th - 21st and you'll want to become a part of us."
