The TCEA Mindstorms Robotics Challenge is a middle and high school robotics competition based on the Lego brand Mindstorms Robotics platform.

105 teams came out to this year's competition to see if their robot that they designed and built could out smart all the others.

We spoke with two young competitors who say that the chance to play with technology and strategize is the reason they love competitions like these.

Joshua - " in the future that could really help us, if we don't know that stuff, say that if I do become a pilot, I need to know the controls, I can't just know the controls"

Jonah - "strategy and learning to think and to become an adult and learning how you know stuff and how you do it"

There was also an invention competition that teams of two or four students could come together and demonstrate a solution for a problem of their choice - of course by using robots.
