Two Car Crashes Today

Two car crashes in the same area. Last night in San Angelo had emergency officials busy. One of those accidents proved fatal on the south side of the city. The second crash, where a truck collided with a patrol car being used to block traffic during the intial fatal crash investigation.
    The officer stopped to move debris from the road and noticed a nearby light pole was shattered and that a vehicle had gone into a ravine east of Chadbourne. The two men in the car were unresponsive.
The passenger a 21 year old Airmen from Goodfellow was later pronounced dead.
   The driver a 25 year old San Angelo man remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
  Police say speed was a factor and they're investigating whether alcohol was involved
