Send Off for Army National Guard

natlguard2007-06-02-1180766377.jpg25 San Angelo members of the Texas Army National Guard are being deployed to Iraq, but not before a big send off.

Come Monday morning, Mayor J.W. Lown will present a special recognition to the brave individuals of the 131st Artillery Division’s 2nd Battalion “C” Company of the San Angelo, Texas Army National Guard. The presentation will take place at the Army National Guard Office located at 4149 N US HWY 67, beginning at 8:30 a.m.  According to officials, the service members will head to Austin for eventual deployment to Camp Buka, near the Persian Gulf.
