City council members gave the go-ahead today to re-open a sexually transmitted diseases clinic in San Angelo.
Members approved an application for almost one million dollars in medicaid funding from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission with a 40 percent match of 400-thousand over four years.
Council members say it would allow more people access to low-cost treatment

Council members also approved leasing office space to the San Angelo Performing Art Coalition or "SAPAC" at City Hall.
The coalition will give the city two and a half million dollars to complete renovations on the City Hall auditorium and then pay one dollar a year in rent.
SAPAC would also pay utilities -- for a 20 year lease with a ten year option on renewals and create a one million dollar operating endowment in effect taking over performing operations for the auditorium.
