Dr. Joseph Rallo Comes From Western Illinois University To San Angelo.
As A Child Growing Up In Staten Island Dr. Joseph Rallo Thought He Knew What He Wanted To Do When He Grew Up.

After More Than 25 Years Of Being An Educator At A Hand Full Of Colleges, With Most Recently Being Provost And Academic Vice President At Western Illinois University, Dr. Rallo Felt That It Was Time To Take The Next Step--Becoming A President Of A University.
Dr. Joseph Rallo: Once You Become A Dean You Really Have Gotten So Far Away With The Research, And Then I Try This Provost And Academic Thing...And Take The Next Step..And Uh..You Know Go For It.
Dr. Rallo Says Although This Is His First Day On The Job He Already Has Three Goals To Accomplish At ASU.
Dr. Joseph Rallo: The Next Two Three Weeks, We Have To Be Up And Running By Sept. 1. Texas State Is A Good System, Uh Texas Tech Is A Good System, But We Need To Look Forward. Second Theres A Retention Issue Meaning Uh... We Have An Incredible Number Of Highly Intelligent Students. We Have One Of The Largest Freshman Class. Theyre Here For A Reason Its A Good Place And We Want Them To Come Back. So Thats Number Two. And Number Three Which Ties Into This, Construction Issues On Campus, Mainly Centennial.
He Also Says He Will Continue The ASU Tradition Of Interacting With Students On Campus By Helping Freshman Move Into Dorms For The Fall Semester. JJklst News.
