For a non-profit full-time educational facility like the West Texas Boys Ranch their grateful year round. Some of the boys may not be with their families this Thanksgiving but are certainly surrounded by people who care for them very much.  Skylar Gallop has more.

"We're funded strictly through the generosity, we're not state-funded, all year for us is Thanksgiving, we're thankful for every donor we have." Gathered for Sunday night chapel the lesson focused on being grateful.  At this chapel service each boy at the ranch picked out a quilt donated by a local family.  It takes all kinds of donations to make the boys ranch run. "Whether it's a monetary donations prayers, or clothes for the boys supplies we need out here, everything makes a huge difference in these boys' lives."  Calub has been there for eleven months and is already adjusting to life on the ranch. He's counting his blessing this thanksgiving as well.  "I'm thankful for a lot of stuff.  I'm thankful for my mom and dad - meeting somebody here."  He's also thankful for an older boy who's made life a little easier on a new-comer.  "Well one of the boys in my cottage he's like a brother to me and he always has my back so nobody will mess with me."  Calub and a handful of others that can't be with their families this Thanksgiving have had a traditional thanksgiving dinner donated.  "The boys out here may not get to be with their families, but at least they have people to fall back on, other brothers per say that make a big difference in their life."  A big difference in their lives supported by donors and in a town like San Angelo, that's a lot of support.  "Now that it's the holiday season, we're seeing San Angelo come together even more. I get phone calls everyday from people saying what can I do for Christmas?"  Skylar Gallop KSAN - San Angelo's news channel."
