Some San Angelo fourth graders are learning about the importance of
Veteran's Day this week -- and why it's celebrated every year.
At Myrtlewood Estates -- residents marked Veteran's Day with an afternoon celebration. It's a big even there every year -- there are ten world war two residents living at San Angelo's Myrtlewood Estates -- and close to two dozen world war two veteran's widows.
96-year-old veteran James Westbrook was injured in the war's battle of the bulge. Residents and family members celebrated the day with an apple pie and ice cream reception.
