Flooding Closes Area Roads

Flooding was an issue across parts of the Concho Valley Friday because of heavy rains. In Central Texas, several roadways are closed because of water on the road. Near Fort McKavett, officers closed several roads including Cemetery Road just about three miles southeast of Fort McKavett. Because of water over the low water crossing, some local residents were stranded. Much of the floodwater is flowing into the San Saba river. Meteorologists say the flooding could continue in the hill country through the weekend because of more predicted rainfall.
