San Angelo City Council Members Today Gave Unanimous Approval To A Significant Water And Sewer Rate Increase. By A Vote Of Six To Zero -- Council Members Approved A Total 12 Dollar And 70 Cent Increase In The Base Residential Rate For City Water And Sewer Service. Usage Of More Than Four-Thousand Gallons Of Water A Month Would Also Include An Additional 17 Cent Charge Per One-Thousand Gallons. Council Members Will Vote On The Proposal One More Time Before It Becomes Official And Would Include A Four Dollar And 75 Cent Increase In Water Rates And Seven Dollar And 80 Cent Increase In Sewer Rates. The Rate Hike Could Begin As Early As July.
