This years NCAA south central regional tournament did not start well for the Belles. They were the host team of the tournament and despite playing three extra innings in their first game they were unable to manufacture a single run. In order to win the tournament they would have to win six consecutive games against some of the nations best teams.
Playing against St.Marys in the championship game they were able to do just that. The Belles jumped out to a three run lead in the top of the first and never looked back as they defeated St.Marys by the final of 4-0. Next up for the Belles is the NCAA Division II World Series which begins Thursday from Akron Ohio.
