San Angelo police have arrested two suspects in a drive-by shooting on the city's west side Monday night.  But they're looking for other suspects in that incident, and other shootings which happened over the weekend.

Reyna Galvan says she was sitting in the driver's seat of her car when it was hit by gunfire around 11:00 p.m. Monday night.

"I just got down," she says. "I didn't want to get shot. I just stayed down until they were gone."

On the rear windshield of her car is a hole about eight inches in diameter, surrounded by shattered glass. Another bullet left a hole just above the rear window.

Galvan says her boyfriend had gone inside the house at 1802 Wilson, and she says she was in the car waiting for him when the shooting started.

Multiple bullet holes spot the front door and outside wall of the house.  Reyna says she saw shots coming from a blue Dodge. And she says as the Dodge pickup sped away, a black Cobalt followed closely behind it.

But immediately after that came the police.

Lt. Curtis Milbourn, public information officer for the police department, says officers had the house under surveillance, and witnessed the shooting.  Milbourne says police chased the pickup to the 1800 block of Childress, where it wrecked out. Officers say three people fled the scene.  In the pickup officers found what they describe as a large caliber rifle.

A few hours later, police obtained a search and arrest warrant for the suspects.  Along with members of the SWAT team, they surrounded a house at 2606 Jomar, just a few blocks away.  A drive-by shooting had occurred at the Jomar residence Saturday night.  After attempting to communicate with occupants by throwing a cell phone into the house.  After receiving no response, officers say they deployed gas inside the house, then threw in a flash-bang device, then entered the house.

They found two suspects hiding underneath the house.

Police arrested Guadalupe Reyna, 19, and Robert Neira, 28.  Both are charged with deadly conduct and evading arrest with a motor vehicle.

Neighborhood residents we spoke with declined to be interviewed on camera. They tell us they're afraid of retaliation.  Milbourn says these incidents should not be viewed as widespread, or as random acts of violence.

"The people involved in these shooting incidents are specifically targeting each other," Milbourn said.

Officers are looking not only for the third suspect in the Monday night shooting, but also for others who may have been involved in other shootings over the weekend.
