
Thursday was a busy day for local authorities. Around 2:00 PM Thursday, two motorists on Bryant Blvd. were rescued after being trapped in a SUV after the mobile home they were pulling veered off the roadway. The woman, headed south on Bryant, was taking a curve near Humble Road, when police say, the weight of the trailer shifted, pulling the SUV and the trailer off the road and rolling both onto their sides. Emergency crews had to bust the SUV'S window to free the couple from the vehicle. Police were called out to a different accident around 5:00 PM to an accident that took place just off of U.S. Highway 277. According to authorities, the driver of a red Chevy Tahoe was trying to pass an 18 wheeler on the right hand side of the road. The driver of the Big-rig was just starting to make a right hand turn at the same time. The two vehicles collided. One person inside the Tahoe was take to Shannon Medical center for treatment of minor injuries. The driver of the Chevy is being cited by police.
