The Jerry Lewis M.D.A. telethon is hours away. But the fundraising began on Sunday. The San Angelo Cookers Association chili pod held a chili cook-off at the Paseo Sunday. Teams showed up this morning to begin, what they believe is the prize winning pot of chiliing. By two in the afternoon the chili was judged, even by KLSTS own Andy Scholes. The cook-off benefits M.D.A. We just love chili and we love cooking it and doing charitable things for people and making them feel good and better. Says Fran miller a chili cook. The M.D.A. labor day weekend telethon airs live at 6 in the morning right here on KLST from the Cactus Hotel. And the show is hosted locally by KLSTS own Kristen Clark and David Wagner.
