San Angelo voters will be casting ballots in a special city election in November.
During a meeting today -- city council members agreed to call for a special city election Tuesday, November sixth.
Also today, city council members approved spending more than nine million dollars to fund the new Bell street softball complex scheduled for completion a little more than a year from this fall.
During the election approved for this fall -- voters will decide whether to change the city charter to call for an appointed -- rather than an elected city police chief.
The election will also include more than two dozen other city ordinances.
