Total Lunar Eclipse

Because of clear skies across the Concho Valley this morning -- people had a very good view of the full lunar eclipse.
This is the second total lunar eclipse for 2007 -- which happens when the earth moves directly between the sun and moon -- blocking the light that is normally reflected by the moon.
A total eclipse is fairly rare because the moon is usually above or below the plane of the earths orbit.
The next total lunar eclipse will take place February 21st in 2008.
