Doctors say a new CT system at Shannon medical center will allow them to diagnose artery blockage without surgery.
The "computerized tomography" scanner gives doctors views of patients heart and vascular systems -- in motion.
They say it can help them diagnose heart and other diseases.
And, the new CT scan is faster -- older scanners require patients to hold their breaths for about 20 seconds -- the new system can require a little more than half that time.
