Negotiations between the city and police meet-and-confer team are on hold until a hearing next week. A district judge issued an injunction preventing meet-and-confer negotiations this week between members of the San Angelo coalition of police negotiating team and city. Members of the other police association representing SAPD officers, the San Angelo Police Pfficers Association, filed the request. The complaint alleges that other San Angelo law officers including park and airport police voted in a meet and confer election, even though they are not governed by state civil-service laws. A judge will make a decision during a hearing next week on whether the current meet-and-confer team can continue.
