In order to help prepare the educators to begin a new year, a motivational speaker used his ministry of education to send them back to school. Nicole Sanchez has more.

As the saying goes, to teach is to touch a child's life forever, well that's a prime example of the life

journey of Motivational Speaker and educator Stephen Peters.

"This is as important as you can get it, i don't think theres anything more important

than people understanding the power of education," Peters says.

Peters shared his message Thursday morning with over 200 region xv teachers at a teacher inservice preparing

them for the first day of school.

"We hope that what he has to say here today will challenge them to implement those things in their classroom

beginning Monday morning," says Judy Lisewsky Associate Director of Region XV.

"I like to tell them that the things that they hear me say aren't going to be new or is it going to be rocket science but it does validate, 'Yes i'm headed in the right direction," and you can see when I say the things like the specifics, like you can see people taking notes, because those are the specific things that will make a difference in the school districts.

Even though Peters may not actually meet these teachers students, he feels that his ministry about education will reach their classroom.

"I see their faces because they're all the same, the Jose's the Angela Vasquez's the Keisha's

the David's, the Sally's their all the same all over the world regardless of where you are whether it's intercity, city or rural. Children are children and we should value all of them the same," Peters says.
