breaking news
Its official -- both of San Angelos largest lakes have received significant runoff from heavy rains that hit the Concho Valley last week.
One of the staff hydrologists with the Upper Colorado River Authority says both San Angelos O-C Fisher and Twin Buttes have each risen at least five feet over the past couple of days as a result of runoff.
The runoff came from heavy rains triggered by tropical storm Erin -- and also added water to area lakes.
Both lakes Ivie and Spence which provide water for residents in the Concho Valley both have risen about three feet in the past couple of days -- and that the lakes in Ballinger and winters are now full.
