Jennifer Jackson reports. U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison was welcomed by a room packed with Concho Valley residents wanting solutions to issues confronting the country, like immigration reform. I told the Senator that I don't agree with her stance on the amnesty immigration program. We have nine programs and we continue to allow 200-thousand people into the country legally. Says rancher Sid Sullenger. The capability of allowing guest workers to come over legally. But also we need to secure our borders so we know who's coming over. Says Senator Hutchison. Another issue Sen. Hutchison was confronted on was the war on terror. We need to make sure Iraq is secured not allow terrorist to take over using oil revenue. We cannot allow that to happen. Says Sen. Hutchison. Nats: Can you address tax reform and the possibility of getting that passed. As the town hall meeting progressed, Sen. Hutchison also addressed the energy issue and tax reform. It does not look we will get tax reform back, I am being honest because this is an election year. We need to keep our bread and butter source here for us, we cannot rely on countries like Venezuela and the hostile Middle East. Says Hutchison. Sen. Hutchison recently secured more than 56 million dollars for renovations and upgrades to Goodfellow Air Force Base. JJKLST NEWS.
