school2007-08-14-1187136545.jpgGetting the school year off on the "right foot," that is what SAISD school leaders hope a big event taking place this coming Thursday will do. It is the San Angelo ISD's back-to-school "convocation." Superintendent Doctor Carol Ann Bonds said, "All the staff comes together the 1st day and their is usually an inspirational speaker." That is exactly what will be taking place at ASU's Junell Center Thursday morning. The keynote speaker will be Grant Teaff, the Executive Director of the American Football Coaches Association. Bonds said, "Even more exciting, the combined bands, orchestras, and choirs from Lake View and Central will be performing." The public is invited to attend the Convocation. The event is taking place August 16th at 9:00 A.M.
